Anyone know the color code or color name of the light grey paint that's on the dash?
It’s painted. And it’s the same paint in all the Ferrari interiors Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Todd, thanks for the verification. My question to the forum is does anyone know the name of the paint or the paint code?
I do not know the color or code, sorry- technically, I think it’s powder coated but ya, it’s still paint. My F8 has this same gray on parts of the dash. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
powder coated metal that seems correct these trim pieces can come painted from the factory, but the OEM coating is a powder coat the finish can chip and it is hard to fix since is is not a clear coat paint type application my door handle has a small chip in it anyone find a solution let me know, otherwise I will just replace the handle
Ye, I refer to powder coating as ‘painted’.. same thing, different application process is all. — but the only proper solution is to remove, prep and powder coat again since touch up will never be right no matter how good of a touch up artist you are. I wouldn’t know where to find the color code though. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
My plan was to paint the entire piece which is already off the car. I've had metal pieces powder coated but never something plastic. Does the heat affect the plastic?
Richard, if you decide to re-powdercoat.... this place does outstanding honest work. Bonnie is the owner and long time powder coater. They are right up the highway in Zephyrhills. https://specialtypowdercoating.com/

I know of a fix for the small chip on your door handle , BUY a new one and refrain from wearing jewelry and tell that to your missus !
Can't blame it on the misses. I didn't do a proper job of taping when I removed it to fix sticky buttons. Rich
