My car had an aftermarket dash. I was hoping underneath the changes, the original would be there, but sadly, it's entirely fabricated. I purchased a repro dash and pod, but have very little to go on for recovering details. It looks like the main dash is several parts, with a piece to the left and possibly to the right of the steering wheel. There also is a piece that seems to be NLA under the column, and the glovebox door.

So, what's stitched, what's wrapped, where does the covering begin and end?
    Is there padding?
How is the pod attached to the dash, rivets?
Is there an upholsterer in the LA area that knows the details of the dash?
Are the missing parts (glovebox, pieces around column) available?
Anything else I need to know?
