    Has anyone installed a fixed dashboard camera in their 458 and can recommend one? I used to have a RoadhawkHD when I had an R8 and managed to get the power wiring quite tidily tucked away. After about six months though the unit started to fail and on almost every startup it'd repeatedly chime 'Please insert memory card'. Their customer support was pretty useless and I didn't bother unplugging and keeping it when I sold the car.

    Since then this is the best I've come up with but the scales are a bit out of whack;

    I just installed a blackvue dr650 dash cam after much research. I don't have it on an F car but I can't imagine it make a difference as long as you get it installed by a professional. I have it tucked behind my rearview mirror on the passenger side and the wires are hidden in the liner. You cannot even tell it is there. What I also like about the blackvue is that it does not look like a normal camera so it is discrete. It take 1080p HD videos showing time, speed, and location while also recording sound. I highly recommend it.

    I've heard good things about the Blackvue gear so I'll give it a go. Thanks very much for the reply!
