My first F-car is a 2011 Cali. The black material covering the outside of the dashboard surrounding the instrument cluster is melting away at the edges. I have noticed this same thing on other F-cars. This is ridiculous for a car interior material to be so cheaply made for a car costing $250k!
As far as I know, the only solution is to replace the part of the dash, which costs around $5k, and which the dealership tells me will take 6 months to arrive from Italy.
Any comments or suggestions for alternate solutions welcome. Also, any comments on why Ferrari, who prides themselves on their materials and workmanship, has not corrected this miserable flaw and offered a reasonably priced solution to its customers. I love the car, but this is very disturbing...

If the parts that Ferrari uses in its race cars were of the same quality as the parts that Ferrari uses in its street cars,Ferrari would never have won a race.
