I searched and found some great write ups on removing the Upper Dashboard, Thanks DMaury!!!

I think I have all of the attaching hardware out, even the ones going up under the dash. I can lift the front portion a small amount, but it seems that the back area and sides where the pillar panels meet the dash. The pillar panels seem to be solidly attached. Yes, I removed all of the roof surround panels. Do the pillar panels come out with the dash, or are they suppose to be removed before the dash comes out?

I wiggle, pull, lift trying to find where/what is holding fast. I don't want to go gorilla mad and break something!!! Just how much force is required? I assume it is a lift upward as it is pulled away from the windshield.

Any suggestions as to what I may have missed?

A Major Big Thanks to this Great Forum!!!!!

I removed the dashboard twice on my 360 i had before, and as far as I remember, the pillar covers need to be removed too, there is something like clip bracket holding them to the upper dash. The worst thing is that you must remove the roof panels too to access all the screws. There are some screws under the door rubber trims, so be careful. No place to use force ;)

Great, I will pull back the rubber trim and get those screws out... I don't think the WSM/Ricambi pix shows these. I will also look again along the dash underside close to the windshield for any other screws that should come out. Not sure how many there are?

I already have the roof trim panels out (my second time as I had to re-glue the headliner a few months ago). The little 'crappy' plastic tree clips are garbage. They just break off at the panel mounting plate. Ricambi seems to be be closed till 11/28... This part requires a call in to order!

    Thanks honda.vfr

On my 430 the A pillar covers were secured by a torx bolt half way up the pillar underneath the door seal (not really where you'd expect).

    Fantastic, The Dashboard is Out!!!!!
As said above, there is a hex button head screw partway down the windshield trim panel and rubber seal. Had to use a screw driver (covered with tape) to hold back the rubber seal and spread the trim panel. There is a slight relief in the trim panel where the Allen wrench aligns with the screw. Just a few turns is all that is needed to allow the slotted metal tab to slide out. The whole dash pulls free. Don't forget to disconnect the wire going to the sun radiation sensor. Out it comes.

I see there are metal staples holding the leather to the fiberglass (?) dash. I will pull some out to see how I can roll back the leather for re-gluing. I will see about getting the metal vents to replace the two up near the windshield. Again, crappy plastic parts by Ferrari!

    Here are some pix.

Would any of you guys remember about how long it took to remove the top dash? I'd like to take on this project, but want to know what sort of time I need to commit to it.

I've read that if it's not your first time, it can be done in about 2 hours. I figure it'd take me the better part of a Saturday + 4 or 5 beers and a lot of cussing.

    Lol..,thanks.
2 hours isn't that bad really, but ya, likely double for a first timer.

Closer to 4 hours, and you do not need to remove the steering wheel!
    Good luck!
