    Greetings
This is my first post. I am a new owner of a 2021 Roma and I love it!
I purchased a highly rated dashcam (Viofo A229 Pro 4k) and it can be hardwire connected to the rearview mirror plug via a pass-through connector. I acquired the correct number of pins from my dealer for the passthrough, so I have the correct device I got from Amazon.

My question is this. I don't want to mess anything up. I have pry tools. does anyone have advice on how to remove the plastic mounting for the rearview mirror, to get at the plug, without breaking it? It looks like it should just pry off, but I don't want to chance breaking a clip or something. The answer may apply to other models as well.
    Thanks in advance

I admire your willingness to put this together, but you have more to lose than win. Ask your dealer for a recommended professional to install it.

    Thanks Kent.
One of the reasons I joined this forum is to get advice from other experienced Ferrari owners. Surely other people have installed dashcams in their Ferraris. This is a simple matter. My only concern is prying off the triangular plastic piece that surrounds the mirror on the windshield. I want to pry in the right places so as not to break something.

I did check with a professional installer, and he wanted $100 per camera, and this unit has three cameras. But I can tuck a wire going down the upper side of the car just as easily as a professional to hook up the back camera. The one facing the side is simply a matter of connecting the camera to the main unit. The front camera operates as the hub for the other two, and requires the pass-through connector to the mirror which is a piece of cake to put in. You unplug the mirror, plug-in the pass-through and then replug the mirror – simple. I'm not cheap but I'm also not stupid.

So the bottom line question is: does anyone have any advice on prying off the triangular plastic piece.
I can do the rest, and so can anyone else who wants to instantly hardwire a dashcam this way and avoid messing with a fuse box or the electrical system. A passthrough plug that only operates the camera when the vehicle is on is the best answer. This could be helpful to many people.

May the ghost of Enzo Ferrari have mercy on your soul, and your Roma's

These are not known for their robust and resilient electronics. Pay the $300. It's a Ferrari.

I admire your spirit, it is just a car after all and most newer mortal cars have similar gadgetry. Perhaps a pic of the piece in question would help?

I would suggest you get the Roma Workshop manual. It will tell you how to remove and replace all sorts of parts for your car. That should cheaper than the $300 they guy wants for the install, and you will gain far more knowledge.
