Somewhere north of Maebashi yesterday, 20C (68F) and sunny, highway almost empty, I spotted a GT-R identical to my old one.

Boys will be boys. Pulling from 100kph to 190kph, the manual Spider top-down is definitely faster, picking up say 2.5 car lengths. The GT-R guy was a real enthusiast and confirmed my impressions exactly. I tried to find out which transmission mode he was using but couldn't understand the answers over the wind roar. (Since I'm LHD and he's RHD, we could have a pretty good conversation at the legal limit

None of this is news I'm sure to the stalwarts on this thread, but "facts" bear checking and consider this one checked

BTW GT-Rs look completely badass from the rear and rear 3/4's in my opinion. Those fat exhausts and taillights really do it for me and metallic grey is def a killa color for the things.

Other highlights were this pair of highly unusual sitings.

I can confirm yr observations. 2 months ago, I invited a friend over to take my GTR out to drive alongside my 430 with me.
Coming onto a highway, and observing it was clear, we both floored it. I was in front of him in my 430 coupe. Estimated
rolling speeds were about 70kph. I was just pulling away from him when we passed 160 kph. Later on my friend also told
me that he just wasnt able to pull my car in despite flooring the throttle. I believe that the 430 does have an advantage
over the GTR at higher speeds in an all out situation.
