    I had dated this girl on and off through out hs. and she really irritated me with certain things she did at times. I just saw her for the first time since she went to college and shes changed for the best... we get along much better and things feel natural(more so then before) Only prob is that after asking me to be her b/f again not once twice but three times this past fall and unwillingness to try a open long distance relationship she has moved on to an open/fun relationship w/ a guy at her school(nothing serious)... I want to as well however something really caught my eye about her for the first time... So do i start talking to her again and tell her how i feel or just let her come back if she wants and leave it as is... I'm really happy for her becasue she seems real happy and want whatever is best for her...If it's not me thats cool!!!

    she still calls me with her problems...I don't try to fix them i just listen and try to be supportive... i think there is still something there but i don't want to screw up our friendship if i come out of nowhere after rejecting her...

    advice?

    It's not what caught your eye it's the thought of her with someone else.. if you didn't want to date her before she got with him then don't do it now.

    I have to agree with most everyone here. All that is happening is that you now realize that she is not really an option anymore, so you will huff and puff about it despite the fact that you don't even really want a relationship with her. Happens to everyone at some point.

    Think about it, it shouldn't take her dating someone else for you to magically realize that she is good for you. If she wasn't good enough for you BEFORE dating someone else(and at this point in time you were intent on not dating her), then what about her has changed by her having a new guy? Nothing!

    We are possesive by nature. It's just like if you previously dated(even only for a very very short amount of time) a girl and eventually a friend of yours starts taking her out. You still get irked from time to time. But when you think about it, it's for no real reason.
