The G-spider is however a very impressive car IMHO. I'll be interested to see if I'm as impressed with the F430 Spider when I get a chance to drive it.
BOY WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I was UN-INVITED!!!!!!!!!!! Guess I scare a couple of people with my HIGH STANDARDS and STRAIGHT forward sales approach, not to mention my Guarantee!!!!! Boy I love the free entiprize world!!!!! BUY ONE FROM SOMEONE THAT WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU FROM START TO FINISH......ALWAYS!!!!!! WWW.CATSEXOTICS.COM
Speaking of taken care of me...Where are the two girls that were promised when I bought my Stardale thorugh you...LOL Mike
Roy, I was wondering where you were at this event! What the heck is going on? I thought you were on excellent terms with the owner and sales staff. Dave
SO DID I!!!!! I have had my cars there for service, numerous times, JOSH is GREAT>>>>> Well, FRIDAY afternoon at about 3pm, (the day of the show), I called JOSH and asked if he would take my car out of the Service bay, (my new 2006 White SE) and put it out front. I wanted to show it to several of you that had asked to see it..... About 10 minutes latter MICHAEL, my assitant gets a call at the office. It was ANDY. ANDY MYER stated to MICHAEL that there was a REASON "WE" did not send an invitation to ROY, "WE DO NOT WANT HIM HERE, PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO HIM, HE IS NOT WELCOME ON THE PROPERTY". When Michael asked "WHY"? Andy replied that AL had been told by an employee that I had "HANDED" out my business cards in an attempt to steal customers at his Grand Opening........ THAT IS PLAIN OLD HORSE ****!!!!!!! As everyone KNOWS I am NOT authorized and CAN NOT sell NEW lamborghini's in their 100 MILE protected area!!!!! I DID hand my card to one of their sales reps GIRL FRIEND visiting from Tennesse, (dave you remember her), hell we were talking, she was not saying NO and I gave it to her telling her to call me if she ever wanted to get together... I WAS TRYING TO SELL HER SOMETHING.......BUT IT WAS NOT A LAMBORGHINI!!!!! Then MICHAEL said well ROY has cars getting serviced there......ANDY stated I did not know that I don't think AL would like that either....... Needless to SAY, I had my SE picked up with in the HOUR by truck and trailer and it is going DOWN to BMCD who is MORE THAN HAPPY to take my business.... After this info got out to several other West Coast Dealers, I was informed that Bellevue was mad because of the amount of cars I have sold in the last year..over 20......AND I DO NOT have a building or delaership..... Apperently they HAVE ONLY sold one RETAIL CUSTOMER, ALL the other cars have been dealer traded wholesale invoice to other NEW and USED car dealers....... I KNOW they have sold at least 2 to GRAND PRIX motors in Portland...... SO I guess the real reason is they CAN'T take the heat of a LICENSED Dealer in their backyard, out selling them, BUT when you provide quailty product at quality price and GREAT after the sale service......people are going to use you... For PUBLIC INFORMATION.......I did OFFER AL to BUY his Dealership and THAT OFFER STILL STANDS, ANY DAY of the WEEK!!!!! SORRY to have missed you all.....will see you on the upcoming run's.....But when you meet in the LAMBO parking lot, I will be accross the street waiting to pull out with you, I GUESS I am BANISHED to the BAD BOY corner..... Thanks for all the support Roy L. Cast President Cats Exotics Seattle, WA USA
Roy, Thus far I have only heard your side to the story and there are always 2 perspectives to what transpired. The old saying that perception is truth applies. None the less, this is an unfortunate incident and I hope that you will be able to resolve this with them outside of this forum. Humbly yours Albert
YOU are VERY CORRECT!!!! There ARE always two sides to ANY story........AND I WELCOME their RESPONSE, I would like to have it in writing....... It is unfortunate that this had to happen, I wish a phone call could have been placed to discuss any concerns they had with me, other than calling 2 hours prior to a show that I HAD planned to go to. NOT the right way to do it! Hope things work out and am MORE than open to any meeting and or discussion, anyone want to be the mediator?
Roy, I can understand the dealership's reticence to have you on their premises. You are going to be perceived as the competition, regardless of whether you see yourself that way or not. Just as a BMW salesperson would probably not be welcome at a social event at a MB dealer unveiling a new car... I'm sure that you were there to (a) socialize and have a good time, and (b) network a little. How much of (a) vs (b), well only you know ... and that ratio might be seen differently by the dealership. If I were the dealership I would be concerned that you'd offer to find used Lambos for potential clients that you meet at the dealership that you might not have been introduced to otherwise. They have a large investment in a bricks'n'mortar business, and they need to ensure a return on that investment and high overhead. It would seem to me that you would be capitalizing on that investment if you were seen as meeting new potential clients there. I think it's unavoidable, and understandable, that you'd be viewed in that light. Sure, you can't sell any new vehicles, but you have plenty of used vehicles you could tell prospects about, and I'm sure the dealership would rather find one of their clients the vehicle than let someone else do it for them. The problem is, is that even if you promise to not poach their clients, and honor that promise faithfully, it's impossible not to indirectly do this -- there's always the question "what do you do ?" ... and when you answer "I find used, and new (for out of area clients), exotic cars" ... you've just planted a seed that may eventually (or even immediately) turn the dealership's client into *your* prospective customer. In business I always try to find the "win/win" opportunity, and I wonder if there is one in this situation ? I think the secret though would be to develop a situation where both you and the dealership can profit mutually from the business relationship. Is that possible ? Well, that's something for "youse guys" to figure out.
BRIT, I Agree with you 100!!!!!!!! and I have no problem that they request I NOT come to their store. I JUST had a MAJOR problem with them waiting till 2 hours before the event to tell me such........ I, as you would love to have a relationship that benefits us both. I am open to any type of suggestion........ Thanks for your input.
As you all know Roy has helped me out in many area's of exotic car ownership. Thus, I am a little bias. I realize there are two sides to a story but you all may find this interesting: In Dec I was looking for a 2005 Hummer H2 SUT: Roy actually sent me to this same dealership in question and arranged the deal for to buy their Hummer H2 SUT off their lot???????? Guess they were pretty thankful ? True a $50k car is not a $200k car but Roy could of sent me somewhere else Pretty funny how things turn out or sad actually Mike
YES, this is true, MIKE drove 3hours to buy the car from ANDY...... ANDY your welcome....... + BY THE WAY I GOT NOTHING OUT OF IT, NOT A DIME..I ASKED ANDY TO CARE OF MY FRIEND MIKE, GIVE HIM A GREAT DEAL WHICH HE DID, BUT I DID NOT WANT ANYTHING, JUST WANTED MIKE TO BE TAKEN CARE OF!!!!!!!! Oh well I need to go out to the GARAGE and cry over my new RACE car with new ELF tranies,,,
THANK YOU ALL for your concerns........ All is fine, we have come to a GOOD mutual understanding!! I WILL see all of you at the NEXT Event at Bellevue Lamborghini, the ONE and ONLY AUTHORIZED Lamborghini NEW car DEALER in the Great Pacific Northwest!!! With ONE HELL of a Service Dept........ But hell JOSH already knew that....... I love it when we CAN ALL get along!!!!!
Roy you are so funny sticking it to the shirts-and-slacks salesman. 20+ cars is impressive. Do you sell Lambos through Park Place LTD? Mike Alton Maybe this spring you could organize a Ferristi vs. Lamboghisto baseball game?
But who says it is "poaching." Roy is a car enthusiast who has brought a lot of attention back to Lamborghini in the local area. When Lamborghini/Alfa Romeo of Bellevue shut their doors, hardly anyone was buying or driving Lamborghinis is the area. Roy started buying and selling Lambos before Bellevue Lamborghini opened its doors last fall. Roy had sold several Lambos and I would venture to guess that most people going to that event, Roy already knew through other channels. Most of the people there were driving Ferraris - a marque that Roy has owned in the past.
ROY - U R a Lamborghini promoter's dream. Also, your welcome in my neighborhood any day. Miss you! -ParisModel
