    Does anyone on the forum know if David will be competing this year and if so at what events? I am hoping i can meet the man again and get some pictures of him with his cars........Martin

    IIRC he's usually seen at the Goodwood Track event with his cars?

    Maybe look thru some of the threads on that event for past pictures.......there's a few guys here that can contact him....;)

    I would expect him to be at Le Mans Classic July 11-13 too. Saw him at the 60th anniversary last year: he never seems to age! I visited his house west of London in 1982 and he showed me a 512S that day as well as a littel film made with unused bits from the movie Le Mans, a very cool littel video. Of course he lost a leg during the filming but has raced on for almost 40 years since.

    His 250LM must be the highest mileage example in the world. Great guy, hope he comes to the Springbok series again this year. That's when all you guys are hibernating and we're out enjoying ourselves here in South Africa.
