Hi Everyone We are in Daytona as part of a technical partnership we have with AIM Autosport FXDD Racing with Ferrari. In an effort to bring the fans closer to the action we will be posting all weekend here and on Facebook with plenty of photos from practice and the race. On track photos are a dime a dozen so we are focusing on behind the scenes stuff to really give you an insight to the workings of a race team. So sit back and enjoy the images of our Ferrari 458 Challenger. Link to Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AIMautosport Image Unavailable, Please Login

Awesome job, thanks for sharing! Best of luck in the race! Is that an alignment rig in the second set of pictures?
Yes and it is very low tech. Fishing line run on either side of the car makes for straight lines that allow measurement with steel rulers. It's all in the operator to get a good result.
Looks like Autoblog picked us up: http://ca.autoblog.com/2012/01/26/canadian-ferrari-racers-get-ready-for-the-rolex-24-at-daytona/ Also check the team's Facebook page for new images that I will not post here Link is on the first post of this thread.
What was that in the drivers seat? Great Pics-creative with the watch. Can the spectators still get close to the pits? We'll be there with the Florida region event.
Those are sand bags on the seat to mimic the drivers weight when setting the car up. Fans can get right up to the cars and when you come by ask for Rob or look for the guy in the team shirt normally with a camera and a cap with the Carbonio logo on it. I'll be happy to show you around.

Liked the photo of your fixture for measuring toe up front...any photos of the piece for the rear? Love as many details of the car itself with panels off, gear changes, etc. Great thread!
Here is the only shot I have of the rear. Note the fishing reels for storing the toe line. Thanks for the compliments and feel free to fire off any questions Sleep time....long day tomorrow and the day after Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for the pics. Looks like some rain today. How's the forecast for tomorrow? A little wet could give the Audis an edge.
Congrats on that great qualifying time! Wish I was there, but I'll be watching from home and pulling for you guys! Wish speed showed the whole thing, the overnight part would be fun to watch. Best of luck!
They are supposed to have live streaming throughout the whole night on their website once they go off air on TV http://stream.speedtv.com/rolex24 , no commentary though.
