    nice pics! thanks for sharing.

    and yes if you're posting from iphone/ipad (and maybe other mobile devices), only one pic per post. I think it's because ios assigns each attached image the same file name.

    Are the lighted numbers now showing position in class? If, so a better system than ALMS' 3 lights...

    that is correct, and a much better system than the ALMS lights; however a large percentage of cars didn't have theirs working for the entire race. but I love the concept.

    Mr. Incognito is correct on all points. Lights show place in class IF they work. Some absolutely never worked ... even on the pace laps at the beginning.
    Good system, I believe.
    Now can someone explain why we need 2 different GT classes? Why not merge GT Daytona w/ GT Le Mans?

    GTLM = GT2

    GTD = GT3

    two different specs. GTLM is mostly factory/factory backed teams (BMW, Vette, Viper, Porsche, Risi Ferrari). GTD is pro/am, professionals have to pair with amateurs (gentleman drivers footing the bill).

    if they didn't do two different specs, I guarantee there would still be two "classes" so the amateurs funding stuff would keep showing up. no fun spending millions with zero chance of winning. unless you're the St Louis Rams :eek:

    David, sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but what do you shoot, specifically the night shots?
    After shooting film for 40 years, I bought my first-ever DSLR last week, I got a lot to learn.. (Nikon D7100)

    Funny you ask. These pics were taken with a Nikon D7000 & a 300 MM telephoto (Nikor). This is MY first digital camera, and I'm trying to learn how to use it.
