Does anyone have a resource for updating the AC in a Daytona?

Try the "search" function on FChat for old Daytona A/C threads.
    For instance:
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-vintage-driving-machines/147755-daytona-c.html

Vent placement & blower volume is the problem. Some non-A/C-optioned cars, like 14045 and 14085 had aftermarket units installed under the glove box, which worked great but were ugly. There are also some double A/C Daytonas, which had a second unit in the boot:

    1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona

I installed a new, modern compressor in one Daytona (which looks like the old unit).
It blows cold at the vents, but barely reaches the passengers.
    Hope this helps.

The shop that does the work on my GTC has replaced the blower motor with one from a 97 MB E-type. The tech said it was pretty much a simple swap. In the 330 it definitely made a difference as it blows much stronger. However as Gary noted in the Daytona this will probably just make your windshield cooler :(

$450 + s&h for an exact form size of the York compressor but bumped up in CFM from 0.6 cu ft to a full 1.0 cu ft using viton seals and O rings.
    PM me if interested

evaporator and condensor's capacities are too low to cool a car with such a greenhouse effect

to cool to the desired levels i expect you are seeking, the BTU capacity for this car would need to be in the 20-24,000BTU/hr, or, as a comparison, similar capacity to that of the M/B "S" class cars from 1982-92.....
    not a practical mod IMO...
