I have not found a utube on the subject of replacing the rubber insert in the Daytona bumpers.
Also, found no thread; has there been any discussion here?
I am particularly interested in how to neatly shape the ends; as well as the task of getting the rivets in place.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    dont use rivets.
Use screws, allows to get the perfect and adjustable even tightness all along without the bumpiness.
Ends -- the factory did not have a machine to do this -- just round them off manually

I’ve collected/documented enough evidence to suggest that bumpers on some production time line batch(es) of cars didn’t originally have “rounded off” ends on their rubber inserts…

    YMMV

The large number of photos I have looked at o line have all had some degree of "rounding" of the ends.
I also have seen mention of differing depth of the area they fit into. Nothing definitive, however.

Yes, while some were clearly "rounded", others have had their ends cut slightly angled or straight with minimal or no rounding off at (upper) corners and/or edges of the cut...
