Been going round and round trying to get the 2 365 GTB/4 Daytona style sump hoses rebuilt. Have the original taper/screw in fittings, would like to keep those if at all possible. Tried couple different hoses, nothing correct so far. Earls 14AN, guess is possible to make it work but not going to use. Found some metric hose, Cohline style, OD around 26.5 and ID 18MM, The Earls was 18mm ID and will not go onto taper without major issues. SO, does anyone have the hot tip on hose using the original fittings?? I at least want to get the short hose done, routed under the motor mount and starter so I can get the engine back in. The other long one is accessible so not that much worry. Drew A. and Bill B. have been very helpful with photos of routing etc. so that's ready! Also, has anyone used a totally new hose on the short one, with the kink fitting at the sump pan?? Is that kink totally necessary if someone uses new fittings?? Any help would be appreciated. Bandonbound in Ca.

Try these guys. They do work for NASCAR and have done 575M F1 hoses for friends. They can do just about anything with hoses. Their F1 hoses were better than OEM and cost $140 for five hoses vs $550-900 each for Ferrari hoses.

I had mine rebuilt by a company in Indiana. Whoever does it its important for them to keep the correct orientation of the two end fittings. The steel braided hoses are quite stiff. If the other leads do not pan out PM me and I can look up the company name.

    Good luck.

I've rebuilt all oil sump hoses on several 365 GTB/4s re-using OEM fittings.
Have patterns, variety detail options and also technical consultation, if needed, available.
PM with contact info, if interested.

Timo, David here, revisiting this Daytona sump hose issue. Has anything changed since we last spoke? Original style hose available or still Earls style with Earls fittings? I have the twist compression style ends but not that hung up on using the absolute original etc. thanks if you can help. I just need one, rear sump pan to bottom of radiator. Thanks David
