We are launching a "refurbishment" of a Daytona and I will need to find sources for a number of detailed questions over the next couple of years.
To get started; is there a source for information on part/component finishes and coatings?
For example the brake master cylinder; on of the first things we will address.
    Will greatly appreciate any input.
PS Not my first 'Daitona'; the previous one was a comp car; this one, 40 years later, is a street car.

You really need to look in the Daytona section 'Vintage' where if there is not the answer already there will be someone who knows the answer

the Daytona Registry has a "authentication" section. Now that Shaughnessy lives in NH you could consult with him, he certainly knows the cars.

Thank you, I did get to the Registry last night and, indeed, there is a lot of good information..
    I am unaware of Shaughnessy?

On my early Daytona -12775 -sadly no longer in my possession -the Bonaldi booster had a cadmium yellowish looking finish.

^ for your early car, double
check with the BMW crowd as ATE brakes were used on 2002 etc.

... and what IMO appears to be considerable amount of inaccurate/-correct or at least questionable information, as far as authenticity is a concern.
    YMMV.
