Not only in the States but even in Europe you can still find some cars parked for ages in a Barn. Image Unavailable, Please Login
No it is not for sale I found it together with a 250Lusso in Belgium, that will be for sale when it is ready but the Daytona I will most likely never sell.
The Lusso will first be fully restored and then it will come on the market. At this moment the car is completly apart there even no nuts or bolts or anything on the chassis and body left . I will show a picture of the car next week like it is now. Maybe we can show the car next year at Concorso Italiano when it is ready
I would not recommend showing a European restoration in an American event. Big disappoint usually, keep your sanity and enthusiam and $5000 of added expenses and enjoy the car in Europe. This is meant to be a realistic comment from experience, not trying to discouraging. Tom Shaughnessy Sr. FCA/Pebble Beach Judge
In MY experience, many (but NOT all) American Judges don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.....especially when it comes to obscure Italian marques such as Siata, Nardi, etc....
but since we're pretty much talking vintage Ferraris here (esp. serial production); in MY experience, the FCA judges seem to be exceptionally knowledgeable.... of course, that's just my opinion.......
