Does anyone know anything about them? I'm interested in 14201 and 14133. Has anyone seen them in person and can give any impressions? Anyone have good or bad things to say about this dealer?

    Thanks!

These are very high prices. If I could get anything close to that my car would be for sale also

I saw one of them. Not sure which one. Didn't look very closely but it looked very clean. The guy that i spoke to there (Marc Sonnery) couldn't have been nicer and we were talking for quite a while.

    I have some pics somewhere....

Marc's a nice guy, and his boss, Ed Waterman, has been in the exotic car business for a long time. Tim Stanford, whom many of you know, does most of the service work on their cars, and he's a straight-shooter.

Thanks all. I've been dealing with Marc and he's been very accomodating and helpfull. I had planned a trip out there this weekend to check them out in person, but Ivan has dashed those plans to the wind. I also hear good things about Tim Sanford. I'm not sure if there'd be a conflict of interest to have him do a PPI on Motorcar's vehicles. Anyone trust another Daytona knowledgeable mechanic near Ft Lauderdale?

The prices do seem to be on the high side. I know that the Euro model (14201) has been sitting there since last Nov (as it was then first advertised in FML) and they started with a price of $116,500. They may have put some money into it since then, but I don't think it's been much. I'm sure the high prices reflect the season and the Ferrari weekend in Monterey. Now that both are done, I would think there is lots of room for negotiation!

Yes, and starting around March, 2003 s/n 14201 was advertised for sale by a Dr. Bill Clancy in Alabama, first for $130,000 and then dropping to $115,000 in 6/03 and then to $110,000 in October, 2003. He was advertising that it had both the Borranis and Cromadora wheels. Also, I may have made a typo, but my spreadsheet shows that the mileage advertised by Clancy was 39,000.

I must have missed the first ad by Motorcar Gallery at $116K, but by December 2003, I have it that 14201 was advertised on the Motorcar Gallery website for $136,000 and noted that it had just undergone a "big service". As you point out, it is a Euro version and the odometer showed 55,244 km (34,527 miles).

Thanks, John. I'll have to check to see if both wheels are with the car. It's currently wearing Borranis. Marc did mention that it was driven 800 miles from Alabama to their showroom. I'm curious what "big service" was done...

Chris, nice pix! This is a Euro model, so is likely 14201, especially since it appears they've had it since Nov!

I just checked their site. Both 14201 and 14133 have had their prices increased in the last day or two! Whats up with that? Summer is over. Monterey is over. The car buying season is waning. And they've been sitting on these cars for some time. Why RAISE the price?

Possibly something to do with the fact that Winter is Floridas buisy season. People don't buy cars in the summer.
