I hope I don't get thrown off the board but what do women think of your 348 or 355? Is it a good conversation starter? Do they know it's a Ferrari or do they say "What kind of car is that?"

Most could care less. Where I live they just go crazy for jacked up trucks and sport bikes. I bought it for me not to pick them up. Plus if they knew what I spent on it instead of them they would be even more drama. Mostly young boys and guys inquiring about it.

I don't think they give a crap but they do notice it's not a normal car and most know it's a Ferrari

Women never notice the F355. My wife does not like riding in it. Everyone interested is a dude. With all the meets and drives I have gone on only one women has ever talked to me about the car, probably because her and her husband were looking at buying one.

Driving through Nevada had a new Cuda pull up next to me. A guy and his gal in the passenger seat. She rolls down the window, snaps some pics of my 348 gives me the thumbs up and say, "beautiful car". It just depends on the woman. Most females could care less. 90%+ of the attention is dudes.

LOL, it could be the pilot too. ;) Around Boston, it's a little higher percentage of women maybe more like 20-30% that care or notice. I have had several since last fall when I bought mine. Best one was this spring on a Red Sox game night. Taxi full of drunk girls ahead of me in traffic. Stopped at another light and the one hanging out the window hollers back at me. "Hey will you pull over and give us a ride?" I ask where's she's going and she says South End. I think about it a sec and then she starts yelling at other cars, "Woooo!" Yeah she was trashed and I started to wonder if they would get sick. A couple chicks sitting on their laps? I also had a stent in for my kidney stone. Wouldn't have been fun ;) Cab pulls off but that was a close one. I'm ready for the next one. They do smile, give a thumbs up and ask if it's real. Waves too and some stare in shock. Don't worry and keep the faith. The ones that matter will notice ;) Some even at gas stations and car shows.

I would say that 1-2% of chicks REALLY like it, and they're not shy about it. Those are car chicks; usually very easygoing and without any attitude. My favorite kind.

MOST chicks absolutely don't give a crap about the car.

Once, on a date with a girl I had known 10 years before dating, and who couldn't give a damn about cars, we were heading back from Ann Arbor on M-14. We did not discuss the car at all on the date...zip, zero. The 3-lane freeway makes a a beautiful set of sweeps over undulating pavement, and the sweeps comprise about 160 degrees of same-handed turn. We were moving along at about 75, basically just zoning out with some light chat, and when we came to the first sweep, I rolled on the power and got us to 95. The moon lit the pavement ahead, and the car hugged the road as the engine broke into a subdued but angry roar. She sat transfixed looking at the road while the car made tight little movements belying it's grip and compliance. Halfway through the sweeps she gasped for breath, dug her left hand fingernails into my leg, and in a moaning whisper said "oh my God...that's so hot...wow". When we got home, she was a willing and carefree racehorse. The chemistry was intoxicating.

So here's a chick who didn't give a damn about cars, but the sexual nature of the way the Ferrari moved...the engine purring, growling, moaning, screaming...the gentle but primal way the seat held her to the car's wishes like a young girl in the arms of a lover who will inevitably get his way...the chassis complying to the road with silky smoothness but with much urgency...it just spoke to her sexually on a primal level. I would think that a well-played electric guitar, violin, or piano, etc., would do the same thing to some chicks. When it's hot, it's hot. My experience is that if a chick can, for some period of time, forget about her hangups and insecurities and just BE...then in that case chicks DO love the Ferrari. Not because it's a Ferrari, but because underneath all the hype and bull****, a Ferrari is a deeply emotional, visceral, and sexual experience and it stirs the soul like few other things. If it had a vajayjay, well fellas I would not be leaving the garage much.

Dudes don't leave me alone about it, running the gamut from obviously negative smartass comments all the way to practically kneeling down and worshiping it. I'm gracious to everyone, and any little kid who even just looks like he likes it is invited to sit inside, fire it up, and stab at a few revs. Moms swoon in gratitude when I do this, and they take a bunch of pictures. I've let total strangers drive it. Mind you, my "gut check" is quite comprehensive...15 or so guest drivers (total strangers) and no problems. The people I've met have been fabulous, but I've never (on purpose or by accident) picked up any chicks with it.

I love my Ferrari and it brings me much joy, on many many levels, and I love letting others enjoy if I know they're tuned the right way.
