1- Ballpark is 180,000 USD (for the Jag 6 and Corvette engine and 190K for the 12 cylinder)

2- The car pictured on the website is registered in AZ as a 1957 Aston Martin – SPECCON (special construction).

3- Different states have different laws. Tell me what state your in and I will tell you how it can be registered. The strictest is CA and Hawaii. Those two have special circumstances.

4- Most states in the US will register the car the year model of the original body shape that it closely resembles. For most of them it is not dependent on engine year model.

5- These cars do not have to be homologated to 2009 NHTSA standards. I am not allowed to sell you a car with an engine, just a full rolling chassis. We then refer you to a partner company that does the full engine hook up. Those are the rules as per the federal regulations for building custom vehicles. If the customer chooses the entire processes is transparent, the only difference being you will make 2 wire transfers, one to us for the car sans the engine and the other to the engine installer. I quoted the price that includes everything. For California the standards that apply are based on the year model of engine or body shape which ever is newer. Thus the corvette engine would not work unless you are one of the 500 people who manage to secure what is called an SB101 exemption (they have 500 exemptions for emissions regulations for this type of cars). CA is complex, but I can explain it further over the phone.

6- Assuming no back log its 4-6 months for build time.

7- Good point on the capitalization. I would like you to take a look at our website and specifically the technical section. In it we showcase the engineering that went into building the tools for the car. This is not a hand laid up chopped gun glass fiber with welded tube chassis type of car. Thousands of hours were spent on CAD design. Everything is CNC machined, and all the molds are carbon pre preg and cured in state of the art Aerospace facility (if you are ever in the Phoenix area, we would be glad to give you a tour of the facility that builds the chassis and body). The point I am making is that this is not a business that started up with a 50K investment. I have personally invested more than 700K dollars, and counting… There is more than 500K in molds alone. I cannot predict the future, but financially we are solid. Furthermore, after selling a certain number of cars (not sure the exact number yet, probably 30-50) we will create a trust that all the owners of the cars will hold and the molds will be the property of the trust. With regards to mechanical components, most hard mechanicals are off the shelf components (listed in detail in the owners manual) and the few custom CNC parts will be included in the ownership DVD so that anyone that has access to a waterjet/CNC mill will be able to replicate. On a final note, what do you think happens when your 65 DB5 Aston crashes? Do you think Aston Martin has parts for your car or even could help in fixing it? These type of cars will always have artisans that will fix them. The great thing about Carbon (only for the body, not the chassis, if the chassis is damaged, the car is considered a total loss) is that fixing it is simple and the part fixed is usually considered stronger than the parent material. It will require someone with a high skill knowledge of Carbon, but these people are accessible. As long as we are in business, we will of course take care of our customers. I plan to stay in business for a long time. I have invested too much of my money, time and heart into this project for me to just walk away.

Do not hesitate to ask any more questions, we would be happy to answer them

    Cheers

...indeed they are - certainly no bolstering, and i'm skeptical of how well they'll handle hard driving and collision forces...

Those seats are silly, should put a regular [quilted] leather seat - but overall the car looks marvelous and kudos to the coachbuilders.
