I got the call back from my dealer today. None delivered around here yet. Not sure about the UK. Coupes here will be in a few months, converts will be March.

I think it's a gorgeous looking car. Did you see the "DB9 vs The Train" Top Gear? It's available on www.sleepy-fish.com . The most clever car show episode I've ever seen.

I'm a bit worried. I have seen 2 tests now in Brit mags (EVO track test, and EVO comparo) where the DB9 has not been up to snuff...unstable @ high 150+ speeds, precluded top end run in EVO, and difficult to drive/etc. in comparo.

C&D's DB9 broke/was not up to snuff, DB9 lost that too. I am 1st on list in Dallas for Volante, tried to get Vanquish SD pack brakes and new 525bhp Vanquish motor, but no go. Now cars are late, mine was to be Dec build? I haven't heard jack from dealer, despite regular emails, and they told me ''brakes are fine, you don't need more''.

Anyone else getting a bad feeling? It is gorgeous, will replace my Z8 and have room for my kids, I hope.

I read the same articles but like any other test cars, those weren't the final production. (I hope)! I am looking for probably the same as you, a convertible gt with some kind of a backseat for a small child. I am on the list for the Continental GT convert but it is at least a year and a half off so I am trying to find something else for the meantime. Loved the SL55 but no back seat and haven't had time to drive an M3 convert or a 645 yet. Who knows what I will end up with. Thats the fun part of car shopping, you go out looking for a nice family convertible and come home with a Diablo 6.0!

Deadly silence. I'm annoyed. AML has said jack about deliveries, dealers know nada, and Volante is pushed back, as was coupe. Should be out already, plan was Sept/Oct delivery, Jan for Volante. I'm #1 for Volante @ my store, and last I heard, which was August, was May.
997 Cabrio would save me a lot of money, and 575 glasstop will make up my other choice, I guess. Bentley dealers (3) haven't finished any of their email exchanges with me on Conti droptop.

This from EM from my dealer today. I'm not happy about this, as pretty as the car is, this does not bode well for it. 997S Cabrio will be here sooner and be 70k less. So will 575 retractable, albeit a 2 seater.
    Latest news.

i would have the same reservations....i have a two friends with the previous generation dbs, and they have not been very well built, with quit a few mechanical issues...and ford has not been able to do a good job cleaning up jaguars reliability issues.....

Not sure what you're referencing, I drive one every day and have for the last 7 years. I've had no reliability issues on 2 different cars.
