Hey guys, here's an event I'm organizing for the FCA. I wanted to open it up to the FChat crew also. It'll take place at AllSportsGP in Sterling, VA (www.allsportsgp.com) on March 12 at 12noon. Let's make this the first event with the cars back on the road! We'll meet in Bethesda beforehand for a gathering and then a short rally to AllSports. Cost is $160/team of 2-3 drivers for a 5 min practice, 10 min qual and 90 lap race. Attached is the event flyer... I'll send more details (location in Bethesda, meeting time for the rally, etc.) as the date gets closer. Lashdeep Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lash-- Let us know if you have another one. Would love to try this. I'll be in Charlotte, NC for a traffic safety conference that weekend.
MDShore348, it's open to anyone on FChat. Your check made payable to the "AllSportsGP" (the karting venue) will hold your team reservation. It fills up quickly...already have 3 of the 10 teams reserved. I would like to keep it to FChat, FCA and FList members, as a way for the Ferrari enthusiast community to socialize and gather. Also, it'll make for a far prettier rally! I usually do two or three other karting events (as well as drives/happy hours/etc.) over the course of the year that are less formal and open to everyone. But since this is on the FCA calendar and technically an official "FCA" event, members are expected. But, I can keep a few slots open for our active FChat members here. I'm putting together a short All Exotic Car rally for us beforehand also. Please RSVP if you're interested and which car you're bringing on the rally! LS
I have to get some things in order and check my schedule, but this is something that I would like to do.
Jon, thanks for the message. BluDevil, I'm working out the details for the rally portion. But we will most likely meet at 9am in Bethesda. I'm trying to plan the most convenient location for those from NoVa as well as MD. I'll send more details as they get finalized. LS
We're definitely still on, there's no possibility of cancellation. Well, the rally *could* be canceled if the weather is terrible. But the karting is indoors and will happen regardless. (www.allsportsgp.com) We're putting together the rally route right now actually...stay tuned! LS PS-Also, don't worry about finding a partner, there are a few people who are coming alone. We'll match everyone up at the karting facility.
Hey guys, I ran the rally route yesterday and the roads are in terrible condition. There is salt everywhere and a lot of serious potholes. The weather forecast is shaky for Saturday, so I'm going to postpone our first rally until a little later into the spring. We'll meet at AllSportsGP at 11:45 for the karting event. We still have a few more spots open...I'd show up at the event. Obviously, I can't promise a spot since we're so close the event, but it's probably worth a trip out anyways. For details, check out the attachment in the first post of this thread. Thanks, LS
I think Lash and myself should get there alittle early to pad the parking lot. David give us a warning of when you will be ariving so we can blow the air horns...... oh and ps....you guys have to hear Davids car at full throttle......WOW Antony
