When you see these two cars side-by-side you can really see how the designers at Lotus were influenced by the design characteristics and lines of Ferraris, especially the 348 and F355.

No matter how you cut it or how fast it is, that Lotus Elise still has a Toyota MR2 engine. I'm not impressed. There are lots of cars faster than 348s and F355s but once again, it's spiked cool-aid versus fine wine. I'll take fine wine every time....... and that goes for all of you Ford GT, Viper, Corvette, Elise, Supercharged Mustang, and Cadillac CTS-V owners too. Sorry, once you experience perfection, you don't look back.

I love my 348 (or at least working on it :)), but I would love to own a Ford GT. Not too thrilled about the others, though.

I am impressed with Lotus making a <2,000 lb car. I love Ferraris, but Maranello should be taking notes. Adding lightness is going to be the way to go, and a 2-ton 599 doesn't impress me as much as the Elise/Exige.

    What he said.
