that's absurd... how are you supposed to know what to fix or address if you don't know what was deducted? :)

That is a good point, but I could of sworn I overheard someone say the score sheets don't get viewed by the participant..

Not at the time they are judging but most certainly they should be available afterwards. In fact I know in the past he's put people in contact with the actual judge to discuss what was deducted

If you work with the judges, and wander around the car while they are doing their thing, you can pretty much deduce what they are deducting.

I knew before I saw my score sheet what they were going to deduct. It's not like it's extra triple secret stuff. As they walk around they talk to each other, EAVESDROP on the conversation. Peek over a shoulder at the score sheet.

    DO SOME DETECTING!@!!

I was pretty sure they had me at 95-96 points when they were done looking at my car. And although you want to argue what they are deducting for, that's really couter-productive unless it is a totally factual argument you can make to get back points.

I'm not going to "fix" any of the stuff on my car for next year, and I suspect the next judge will find other stuff he doesn't like, instead of what this year's judges "found".

After all, in 2006, my car was 97 points. I "fixed" those three items (total cost was $3K+) and this year scored a 95.5. GO FIGURE.

So, as an experiment, I'm fixing NOTHING this season, and gonna see what they find next year.

As to your award, I'll contact Phil and see what's up.
