    1. On the Ferrari California, once the DCT speed sensor has been replaced, is it considered a fairly permanent fix or does the replacement part have a similar failure rate as the original?

    2. Are any particular California model years more or less susceptible to this problem?

    3. Does this issue carry over to the 458; and if so, which model years?

    1. If anecdotal evidence on F-chat is any indication, I recall reading of a few Calis with multiple failures.

    2. Earlier models seem to be more susceptible, again reading the F-chat tea leaves.

    3. Can't say.

    Most of the early failures were actually wiring chaffing on the internal of the gearbox. If care is not taken in routing the wiring properly when replacing the concern will simply come back.
