Drama queens. Guess ppl are getting tired of the police things, their exotic car abuse and making donuts, so probably in the corona times they are looking for a new format to keep the youtube revenue flowing.
There’re doubt that it’s really a barn find. Good battery, car starts right up, clean paint under light pollen/dust, no rusty look on the brake rotors... Good price they get it for though. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
My thoughts as well. Not quite a "real" barnfind. Not sure if I feel 85k for a low spec 2005 F430 is a good deal but I'm in Europe and we have other price points.
I smell a carefully placed buddy’s car in a dusty gar for click bait. The car does not fit the seller in any way.
Definitely staged! I've tried blowing pollen off my other cars...no way if it's been there for more than a day or two. Besides, unless the owner started the car up every couple days the battery would've been flat as Kansas. It would've been more believable if they had to charge the battery and (as someone else pointed out) there was some rust, or even dirt, on the brake rotors and calipers. The most "unreal" TV is reality TV. Anyway, I think $85K is about right for a solid driving 2005 coupe with 33K miles and given it has all the accessories (minus spare tire). Also willing to bet they did have some service records from early years and did a far more indepth PPI before making an offer.
Aren’t they based out of Canada? If so, than 85,000 CAD would be a god deal, considering the cheapest one on autotrader is 109k. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I have been involved in unscripted TV shows before and something here smells wrong. The car has all the docs including window sticker. It has maintenance records and only had a dusting of pollen on it. Yes the car is basically stripped and no option and has 30+K miles, but I don't believe they "found" it on the guys property and that the deal was really 85K CAD only if everything as as good as they say. I also wonder about the comment in their latest video, it took a few days to get registered because it was an estate sale. That makes it even more suspicious that something could be up with the actual title. Now don't get me wrong. I am so watching their channel, which I guess is exactly why they are making the content.
I don't know about the best deal. I had mine up for $77,997 at one point, although it's back up to $82k. ... maybe I'll hide mine in a barn and see if someone will pay $85k for it! Agree this thing is sketchy. Left mine off the trickle charger for a week, and battery was dead. Same comment on trying to get pollen off a car.
Don’t know about y’all but I can’t stand the term barnfind. As soon as I see it I know it’s BS. I was reluctant to even open this thread because of it. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I’m glad I’m not the only one who found the “estate sale” comment kind of out of place. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Not a "barn find". The term has become misused by auction houses morons such as these and is now nothing more than YouTube click bait. That car is straight from a real owner and has been sprinkled with dust.
