Does it give increased BHP on a stock ECU by taking the Cat off??? As i will be getting a 1990 car i dont need the cat for MOT.
It provides a few extra HP -- but probably not something you'll feel in the seat of your pants (unless you're wearing very thin pants!) The sound, and temperature in the engine bay will be greatly improved. Slow down lights because of Cat ECU signals will be a thing of the past. In my own personal experience, I think it improves throttle response too -- but that's hard to quantify with my limited test equipment (i.e. my butt and my ear) They are on sale for about another 4 days... : http://ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?cPath=175&products_id=208 Once this sale is over, trust me, it won't be repeated any time soon. .
Hi Jack.....i am from the UK so do you know if it will idle at 3.5% co WITHOUT the cat?????...Or anyone!!!
See your other post on exhaust. De-cat and Tubi will give you between 10 & 20bhp. And agreed, the throttle response is a lot sharper.
