    Makes sense to me.

I wonder if I should buy now at 2005 prices. Would the cost of toteing that thing around all the (hopefully) many years offset the increased costs of purchase later?

It would make a decent coffee table.

The fine print says they come with a "life time" warranty. WTF! J/K :)

Where was the article I read, about some religious order, here in the US that lumbers the black oak and other wood from the property and builds very simply styled, but beautiful units, cloth lined.

They said some folks prepurchased and used them for liquor cabinets!

    Maybe in Smithsonian or someplace.........

A buddy of mine started a business with his plane of throwing peoples ashes over specific areas under contract. For his first (And last) job, he flew over a lake were the deceased liked to fish. He opened the plane window and threw the ashes out. After he landed, he spent about two hours cleaning out the interior of his plane, where 99% of the ashes went when he threw them out the window!

I'm going to go to Costco today and see if they have any on the floor.

If they do, I'm going to crawl in, close the lid and lie in wait.

Might boost sales, you never know!

    Heres what will happen:

You give somebody a heart attack when they open the casket and Costco will get sued for it!

    Bummer, no carbon fiber model?

Someone should sell add-ons like F-shields and schedoni leather interior!

    That would be bad @ss!

I was leaving Costco when I saw them. I did a double-take. I just thought it was incredibly tasteless and inappropriate.

No worse than the casket store with various models in the window display on Franklin Street in Waco. Prices might be better at Costco. Large Ferrari flags can be obtained pretty cheap on e-Bay - just in case you want to a little interior design work on the standard model.

That sounds more like a drink or shot than a name for a casket.

It's a good sale item. By law, a mortuary cannot make their customers buy their line of caskets. I think that every jail should have one and it should be manditory that everybody that is booked for a DUI spend two hours in it, as their initial time in jail.

    Texas!

Having just gone through this, those are great prices! The same thing at a funeral home would be $3,000 to $5,000. I applaud them for doing this because funeral home prices are absurd. Try $300 for a registry notebook that you can buy at Office Depot for $30 tops!

My cousin (A pilot) had a similair experience when doing his first drop of ashes over a lake in Colorado. The bottom of the plane was a little oily.....
