This was in the Friday, April 15th, 2005, edition of the Shanghai Daily:

"Beijing's No. 2 Intermediate People's Court yesterday sentenced a farmer to death for killing a man and injuring seven other people in a driving frenzy to vent his anger. Bu Dadong, 34, a Huairou District resident, was also ordered to pay 280,000 yuan (US$33,600) in compensation to the victims for the 13 vehicles he damaged, the Supreme People's Court reported yesterday. On September 1 last year, Bu went on a speeding spree with his truck, intentionally colliding with motor vehicles and bicycles along the road after a quarrel with another person. A 24-year-old man was killed, and seven others injured."

He will probably be executed very soon. The Chinese don't drag things out with endless appeals. And, they'll probably charge his family for the bullet.

In another story, a man had been in jail for 10 years for killing his wife. But, they never found the body, so they didn't give him the death penalty. He was retried and released after his wife showed up in their hometown!!!! She wasn't happy with her marriage so she just walked away. After ten years she missed her child and hometown, so she came back for a visit.

And, you think the Japanese are crazy????

    Yep,

The executioner is trained to discharge a single bullet right to the Medula Oblangata, guaranteeing instant death without damaging any vital organs. 9mm round costs RMB2.00 and the guy or the immediate family pays for it. This is what I was told when I arrived in China last year..

The Road Ragee deserves the death penalty IMO.
