A recent study of 1760 cars by a student at Bristol University demonstrated that birds apparently pick their targets -- the cars on which they choose to defecate -- by color.

    Their favorite color: white.

Darker colors were chosen less often.

But, for those of you with white Ferraris, hope remains. Apparently the birds only scored direct hits on 70% of their runs.

    And science marches on...

I always heard that darker colors were more susceptible to bird droppings since the paint looks like water from above, and birds instictively try to hide their droppings by releasing into water?

These two are close to the intelligence of a 3 year old human. Oddly, they chose to crap on ME regardless of what color shirt I am wearing.

Sorry for the goof up...of course they think but I'm not so sure a bird thinks about where to "go" while he's flying around.

If that is the case, may be I could hire a bird to take care of a nasty neighbor!

I've watched crows take a walnut to the top of a streetlight and drop it onto the asphalt below. It breaks open, and they get a small meal.
    That takes some 'thinking'.

No goof-up Tom. I am sure thay don't think about it normally. Mine are trained to go on command though, it
helps minimize accidents in the house when I have them out of the cage..
