Some of you may know I'm in the book trade. I've got a couple of guys looking for decent detailed books on F40s. There seems to be very little in print at the moment and I was wondering if some of the F40 experts can suggest what they think the best title(s) to look for would be?

Only if you give me the info I'm after! (I'm already known by some here as "the discount king"). I always try to be helpful to fellow enthusiasts...

I think you're out of luck as I normally see some nice hard to get books at Heritage Classics in Beverly Hills, LA but nothing unusual except an Italian book listing all the Ferraris and their chassis numbers (costs heaps but I want to be a trainspotter like Carl :D)

I guess it depends on whether you want pretty pictures or tech info.
The last F40 book I bought was on the F40LM from the Cavalleria series. Nice pics and a bit of tech info and history. LONG out of print and hard to find.

I know that one - got a copy at home myself actually! It surprises me that there doesn;t seem to be a good techncial & general history book on the F40 so far, most are glossy picture books or are part of V8 or general Ferrari history books...quite an oversight I think, considering the number of F books about.

I hope you don't mind me butting into the Oz section...

Four F40 books (in English) that I can think of off the top of my head, but nothing really detailed:
Ferrari F40 by Mark Hughes (published by Salamander)
Ferrari F40 by David Sparrow (Osprey Auto history series)
    Ferrari F40 (published by Automoblia)
Ferrari F40 by Piero Cascucci (La Collection series)

Not at all! I'll get searching for those titles to see what I can track down.
    Thanks for your help!
