Good article, and timely too, as I'm heading for the airport in a couple of hours- Dulles to Charles DeGaulle, then on to Nice, then the helicopter from Nice to Monaco. I've been doing this yearly since '92 and it never gets old.
FWIW, Loews isn't the Grand anymore, but rather the Fairmont as of a year or so ago, but the whole thing is still magical- sensory overload for car nuts in general, and F1 nuts in particular. Hope the weather holds out . . .

Good article. Matchett looks better than I do, but thanks for flattering me anyway.

Ira, have a safe trip and bring back some pictures!

Will do, thanks! Going to Paris for a while on the way back, as usual, so it'll be a while until I return and sort through whatever I shoot (be forewarned though, I'm a lousy photographer).

Just hold the camera against the helicopter window on approach to Monaco and fire away!

    PS: I envy you. :)

Man, I'm jealous. Here's how bad my racing Jones is: a client of mine is boarding his dog because he's going to Indy with his buddies--and staying in a rented truck! Not even an RV or minivan. A TRUCK!

    And I envy him...

    Nice article Jack.

Steve is the highlight of the F1 Speed coverage in the U.S. Hobbs drives me crazy.

Ira, Your living the dream. Have a fantastic trip and keep Kimi off the booze.

Great read on the article. I can't wait for the weekend to get started in Monaco even if it is a bunch of parade laps it's still exciting.

I have to agree, nice article! He really made it sound so gruelling on the
cars, it makes me look forward to the parade, I mean race. I suspect qualifying is going to be the most exciting yet, even more than the race.

That was a great article. I really have to get out to Monaco one of these days.
