I have been in touch with a seller for the last weeks and tomorrow I must decide on buying the car or not. Its an 99 360 F1 with 28 000 miles. The price is very resonable and about
40 percent lower than an equivalent 360 in Sweden.
I driven the car and it seems to me to work well.

As you can se from the pictures it has some small things to take care of but nothing that would cost thousands I think. The present owner has not use the car much the last year
and its been standing in a carport so it could do with some tlc.

Service history is all present with all bills from a major dealer.
The seller seem very honest and he has shown me all the faults from the beginning.
He says that the price reflects the small faults on the car.

What do you think should I buy or not?

Are you saying the car is 40% cheaper than it should be based on your investigation of other 360's? If so, would have to ask why. Have you had the car checked over by an F car dealer, could be the best money you will spend and prove if you are buying a bargain or a money pit.

The car is for sale in Italy and there is a big difference in price between Italy and Sweden.

You need to have a certified Ferrari shop (dealer or other garage) do a complete pre-purchase inspection. While you and the current owner may agree to lower the price based on the stuff he knows is wrong with the car and the cosmetic stuff you can see... the big ticket items are potentially lurking inside the car and the only way to know what is in need of repair now or in the near future is to have an expert check out the car.

The first 360 I considered buying looked nearly perfect from the outside, but the PPI showed a car that had been badly neglected from a service standpoint and had enough PPI-discovered issues that the "discount" I was getting wouldn't have paid for half of the repair work I'd have to get done.

The second 360 I considered buying (for the same price) passed the PPI with zero issues and never gave me a single issue while I owned it.

Bottom line... have someone check the car. Don't ever be in a rush to buy a car like this. There are TONS of Ferraris on the market these days and you need to think logically and not emotionally.

Good luck and let us know what you decide to do.

Agreed. Get a PPI and go with your gut feeling. If you have to ask us should you buy or not, this probably isn't the car for you.
