Previously running in PS4S 245/35 and 285/35 but felt like I wanted to try something a little stickier. These RE71RS come in factory Scud sizes (also 245/35) but seem to run a bit wider than PS4S. 235/285 fits nice and square on 8.5s in front and 10.5s in rear. Haven't had much break-in time but initial reports are better steering feel with no significant harshness or noise to complain about. More civilized cars might notice it, though. Will update as I get a chance to rack up some miles on my Sunday drives.

Fair warning the 235/245s are notorious online for being hard to set the bead (e.g. many shops have given up). My tire guy (very skilled and top tier equipment) had quite a time but did mange to do it after probably 10-15min per tire.

Looks good, just curious what you mean hard to set the bead? (As in, what is specific to these tires versus other tires)
Is there just too much air gap between the bead and the rim that normal Air blast won't set it?

I think it is more to do with lack of flex in some part of tire construction - the tires will inflate but stuck around the center/middle of the wheel and not expand to full width. Apparently they'll dismount/remount fine but the 1st one is a pain. I tried to get TR to heat cycle them but for whatever reason they could only do the rears so I skipped it.

    Here's a GRM thread discussing if you're curious Kenney - https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/mounting-issue-with-bridgestone-re-71rs/258521/page1/

Did about 120mi (dry) on them over the weekend. half backroads half highway. Big fan so far. Only downside would be kicking up every tiny pebble. Make sure you’ve got your PPF sorted - they’re sticky!
