Ok, here is the current situation:
I own (paid off) 2004 Red Vert with 31K miles (daily driver).
It is getting close to the point of having to buy new tires and the warranty is almost up. So I am estimating some expenses coming along, new tires, and possibly buying an extended warranty. Here are my options I have looked at:

    1. Keep the car, buy new tires, warranty, and maybe put an exhaust on it or something.

    2. Trade it in on a 04 Z06 Z16 with less then 900 miles, but we are at a difference of 6K$ right now, probably can get it for $5K difference.

    3. Trade it in on a 05 Viper for a difference of about 30K. The viper is brand new. Only thing stopping me from this is buying/building a new house right now.

    4. Trade it in for a S2000, just for something different I suppose.

    5. Trade it in for some $5 grand used civic, and sink the rest into the market?

What would you do? What makes the most sense?

    First, What is a Vert?

Second, what kind of ride do you want?

Third, is money a primary issue?

What about a less than brand new Viper? I'm assuming you want balls-out performance, not handling finesse. I'd probably rather drive the Z06 but the Viper is a sicker car, albeit with greater limitations as a daily or semi-daily driver. I'd also assume that GM has deals up the wazoo, and even though the new Z06 will be plenty more money than the 'old' one, they gotta move that iron. If you have a good dealer, maybe they can help. After all, it will ultimately turn into 2 sales for them (your purchase, and the resale of your trade). YOu might also look into cheap GM originated financing'leasing, assuming they extend such deals to a desirable car like the new Z06.

try and get a new C6, im sure your local GM dealer could cut you a smoking deal. Or buy a new house and insure it has more garage space for your next car(s)
