It took several hours work but after disassembling my climate control module and cleaning internal connections I was able to get my display to light up. I am showing error code E6, which is the air distribution motor. I was able to get it out and found that the contacts were very corroded. I cleaned and coated with dielectric grease and reconnected. I disconnected my battery for an hour, hoping to reset the system, but I'm not sure if it is resetting. My understanding is that the system will still run with some/certain codes, however, I can't get mine to do anything. None of the buttons are responsive. Neither am I able to get it to go into diagnostic mode by holding down the footwell button while turning on the key. I repaired the fresh air flap hinge but am afraid to reconnect the motor. I am worried that it will break when I turn it on if I have it set wrong.
