I have had problems with my F355 a/c for years. It defaults to the defroster and hot air. I bypassed this by removing the divertor motor and manually turnin the drum so air comes out the main vent. I put on inline valve to heater water supply so always have super cold air.
I have replaced the ecu, have sent it out for new chips still does not work. I tried the ecu reset and that did not work. All the motors bench test fine. I notice on the wiring diagram 07044 defroster sensor. Where is that located?
Also 70125, the sensor earth where is that located? Thinking if the defroster sensor or grounds are bad, the system would default to the defroster.

Not possitive but the outside air temp sensor. Could also function as a defroster sensor by temp.

I thought i read that somewhen under how the system functions

The wiring diagram shows a seperate mirror sensor and a defrost sensor. They seem seperate. I tested my outside temp sensor in the mirror and it was good.

Of course my manual is missing the pages where it shows you but it mentions 3 sensors two of them test treated air temp from system so I am guessing 1 is the cabin sensor we all know, but there is another somewhere. The third is the defrost sensor as you describe.

There seems to be four sensors
    09501 (Mirror) outside air temperature.
07035 (knee level) inside air temperature sensor
    07043 (?) Cooled/heated ("treated") air temperature sensor
    07044 (?) Defroster sensor

Looking at the WSM, the cooled/heated (treated) air temperature sensor appears to be in or just behind the fresh air inlet in the luggage compartment. The only other sensor shown in the WSM is the Evaporator Temperature Sensor. By elimination, this must be the defroster sensor. See WSM 3, I-15?

(EDIT: The Ricambi diagram gives a better view: https://www.ricambiamerica.com/car-diagrams/ferrari/v6-v8/355-group/f355-m2-7-1995/evaporator-unit-and-passengers-compartment-aeration.html
Item 8 is the defroster sensor. Item 13 is the treated air sensor). Looks like the treated air sensor is in the directional control manifold. The evaporator sensor is mounted on top of the evaporator. The WSM is very misleading.

Doesn't look easy to get to.

I stand to be corrected :D

    Cheers
    Ian
