    There is definitely some truth to this. Had two detailers tell me recently never to remove PPF from the headlights because it will pull off the coating. According to them, the beam shape will be noticeably and permanently impacted even if you reapply the PPF. Just FYI.

    I'm sure they didn't want to do it and hoped you may let it go. Those lights are over $10,000 I think. Just make sure they AIM them properly after installing! I'd turn you current headlights ON against you garage wall and mark the wall with blue painters tape on where the beams hit now. Then you can compare after.
