Tried doing a search and didint find this anywhere. Someone orderes a 599 with Denim seats. Didint know you could do that. Check out the pic. http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/1110/ferrari599denim2.jpg
That's a Pic of Lapo Elkann's 599. He's the brother of Mr. John Elkann, President of Fiat Group. So he is really connected to the factory The car is painted in some kind of light blue (close to the Porsche's riviera blue), with blu scuro roof and some kind of minor's other changes.
Here is the car in question. Not my cup of tea to be honest... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is usually hard for me to say, but there is not one thing about that car I like. Taz Terry Phillips
Maia- Affirmative. That I like. I had a 1957 Porsche 356A in almost the exact same color, but it does not seem quite as suitable for a 599. Taz Terry phillips
Because I really like this car! Ok the seats are a bit odd and would be 100% nicer in alcantara. But I love the black wheels with italian flags in the centre, black roof and blue body work. Am I right in saying that this has been around for quite a few years now? Seems like a lot of the recent design cues such as the black roof on GTOs/late 599s came from things like this? Nonetheless I like it!
The denim itself doesn't bother me actually ... but the addition of arse-pockets and a belt-loop to the front lip of the seat is what really makes me question the artistic integrity of the designer. On the plus side, if you owned that car and were asked, "Where does one keep change for road-tolls in a Ferrari 599?" You could say, "My seats have pockets just like these." and point to your pants. That would be unique.
