    Hey all,

So I've noticed that I have this tennis ball sized dent in the canvas on the passenger side. I've seen it occasionally on other cars when looking at BAT, so not an entirely uncommon problem.

I've also noticed that when closing the top, I do hear a clunk sound that I presume I should not be hearing when it is about 75-80% of the way closed,

Before I start investigating, taking things apart, etc, checking in to see if anyone has had this particular problem and perhaps solved it.

I've read through the posts I could find, but didn't see anything that addressed this particular issue.

Driver and Passenger side pics attached for comparison.

Beyond that, once I figure it out, any thoughts on how to 'undent' the top?

    All input is appreciated!

    Thank you

    John

It’s from the flaps not opening in a way that allows the front corner to insert between them. The front corner will miss the gap while folding and poke into the top instead.
There’s a metal band on the side of the flap that acts like a spring. When it’s open halfway, use your hands to force a better curve in it.

Oh and un-dent with an iron and some steam. May take some time to relax.

No problem. Happened to me on my new top but it’s all flat again now :)
