Dent Removal

I have a buddy who has a 190SL and he accidentally pushed in the aluminium fender when he was working on the engine. He made it worse when he tried to pull it out with one of those suction devices. Does anyone one know of a service that can pull it out so I can pass it on. Thanks, Andrew (Los Angeles area)

 

Once you try and pull out a dent the dent guys can't work with it.

Their tools are made for pulling dents out not pushing them back in and the memory of the metal is gone even though the dent may not be pulled out all the way he's probably going to need a bodyshop to fix it.

 

I concur. When metal is pushed in like that it actually streaches out and it would need to be properly repaired that would most likely involve a small amount of body filler to smooth it out and make it look like before
