Check out some of the pics. They are manufacturer test cars (mules?). Ive been seeing these guys everywhere. Its getting weird now haha. I found the mother load at the hotel here in Stapleton where the in-laws were staying. Saw one more Range Rover, two Jags, a few strange Alfa Hatchbacks, and a bunch of jeep labeled Cherokee. They don't look tough enough to be a Cherokee IMO, and each one had a different name badge on the back. So im thinking the names were fake. Sorry in advance for the big post and cell phone pics. Testing for when they hit the US market? I really dont know. The two guys I tried talking to weren't very friendly. They probably get sick of car nerds like me asking them all kinds of questions.
The pics of the Jeeps seem to be accurate. I thought there was no way that crossover could be a Cherokee, then I see it on the front cover of my latest Automobile Mag.
High altitude testing perhaps. I recall a few Lotus Evora test mules were brought into Colorado and were definitely doing high altitude testing (data collection). There were sensors all over those cars above and beyond the engine management system. Just a guess though.
Yep, I constantly see mules in Summit County, and they always tell me it's HA testing.... First experience with this was when I saw the Phaeton and Conti GT well before release. And saw a 4 door ugly Hyundai Veloster thing or whatever a couple months ago..
Saw this Gallardo at a valet area at the Cherry Creek Mall. Beautiful. I think the owner is a member on here? Image Unavailable, Please Login
+458 Nice Red 308 GTS going east on Hwy 82. they followed me until I peeled off at Carbondale to Marble. Perfect day. 71F no clouds. Fall colors and snow on the peaks.
Yellow 360 with a challenge grille on EB HWY34, just west of Greeley this afternoon. Beautiful car! Caught me off guard as I RARELY see Ferraris in the Greeley area.
Gallardo at the Cherry Creek Mall valet. Very nice, and the wheels looked very good. They were black chrome. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Red Gallardo Spider spotted on Friday at the valet near Comedy Works in the DTC/Greenwood Village area. I believe it's the same one shown above.
so would be good to kick off a discussion on valet service in the city. Some are great and let you park an exotic where you want with no hassle... others insist on driving the cars and I, for one, will not let that happen and will move to the next place. I find that as long as I tip well, spend some time getting to know the valet guys, i have no issues. But there remain a few who just don't get it... ie they insist on driving my car when in fact many of them have no idea how to even get it in rev and not slip an e-gear clutch (all while they no no liability whatsoever) ... avoid Park meadows mall valet near the restaurants, they are insistent on parking the car... anyone else have good or bad experiences? (elways both CC and downtown, jw marriott CC, shanahans, Landmark are all excellent)
valets are good places for me, i get to see all the nice cars there! this video is a bit disturbing: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ_F69ALa8w]Valet destroys clutch on Lamborghini - YouTube[/ame]
my biggest fear. some valets have NO idea how to use these cars but have the arrogance to think they do.. in the end damage comes to the owner... ugggg
So how amny thousand $ does a Lambo clutch replacement cost??? Sort of takes the fun out of going out for dinner in an exotic car.
