That would be Mr. Mathews. Saw that car at the cars/coffee gathering at Elevation Motors a few weeks back. The car had 40 miles on it. :) You should see the collection of McLarens he has, simply stunning.

Yeah, I saw his thread in the 348 section about that. Looks like the missed communication got sorted out and it looks like his car is going in next week. My 348 is at Dave's shop now. I'll have to look Donovan up and check out what he has done.

Probably on its way to get the suspension fixed/adjusted. I don't know if the 430 is designed to have wheels jammed so far up in the fenders.

Yeah, that's me, just got back from Plus One having my new wheels installed and then stopped by FoD.
My front looks really low in your pic, prob when I brake hard :D

Ryan, Dave/S-Line installed the Novitec springs, the springs are really aggressive and lowered the car 70mm. Dave adjusted to 45mm all around.
He told me if he raise the fronts more, the stock shocks won't have enough travel.
My car will go back there again next week for alignment and I'll ask him to raise the fronts just 5mm, we'll see.

That's the problem with changing only the springs. Shock travel is designed to work with certain springs and when you change one part and not the whole, trouble can ensue. But maybe it's just an illusion in the pic. Tufty knows what he is doing but as I said, I would not have lowered the car that much or changed the springs. But once it gets sorted, post an update so we know the outcome. I'm sure that Tufty let it be known that it's pretty extreme.

FYI, I've never lowered any of my Ferraris more than 20mm and the only one I dropped that much was the 308 GTB because it just came with way too much from the factory. Also, that was a complete shock and spring setup, like the F40. Other than the 308, none went down more than 11mm. They're not SEMA show cars. They have to actually drive on the road.

I don't know if an aluminum frame with unibody construction would cope well with that sort of set up. I would think that it would be skittish in anything but the smoothest road in the corners. But ask someone like Rob up in Kalamazoo. I'm sure he has set up a ton of F430s.

Yeah, Scuderia is about 20-25mm lower than regular F430.

    Stock U.S. F430 ride height: Front: 139mm (+/-5mm), Rear: 161mm (+/-5mm)
    Stock ROW F430 ride height: Front: 129mm (+/-5mm), Rear: 151mm (+/-5mm)
    Scuderia Ride Height: Front: 114mm (+/-5mm), Rear: 136mm (+/-5mm)

I drive my Ferrari everywhere that low btw, but as long as I know where I'm going :)

Maybe try to get the Scud springs and shock settings? They're most likely the same shocks you have but with different valving.

BTW, maybe I'm not good at math but that looks like only 15mm difference to me from ROW. Just don't go off roading in the mud!! :)

Remember that you need a little clearance for the Snowmass Tour. Those canyon roads have some minor imperfections and at speed, they can be troublesome if the car is too low. Message Phil for the rundown. He knows those roads like the back of his hand.

Used to work with someone who knew Mathews (and his collection caretaker) personally. About once a year, he would arrange for a group of us to get a private tour of the entire collection. Did not care much myself for all the Detroit Iron he also has, but man, oh man, what an outstanding and historically significant group of Macs he has !

The race car set alone is incredible ! Mathews is a McLaren fanatic of the highest order :)

Yup, the tornado warnings were exciting... We had our car under a tent for the hail!

I'm getting really interested in a 308 and just saw a red one downtown going right next to Rockies ball park on the way to the car pool lane. Just beautiful! There was a nice 308 GTS at the show too.

Not much of a showing from the Italians at Coffee and Cars this past weekend... Hope to see more next month :) Those Mclarens were there towards the end. They were actually letting folks sit in the cars. You don't get that opportunity every day!

Spotted a red California out my window at work, parked in the lot on the corner of 17th and Curtis the other day. It was hard to work with such a distraction in view!

Also saw a red 348 with 360 wheels (which looks awesome) and a white and blue Ford GT in the valet at the Westin downtown yesterday around noon.
