So for the $130k (now) Murcies, where do you folks think the depreciation will slow to a crawl or stop? Will we see $70k Murcies in 5 years? Will the Gallardo keep it propped up over $100k?

You can probably find an early Murci now for a lot less than 100k, real question is what is wrong with is? I think this same question will always be true of a cheap exotic.

So what is the realistic price for a descent murcie? Can one be had for $130k? What year would that be?

I think 02s depending on color can be found in 100-120K range.

02/03 Murcies in good condition with miles 120-135k. Newer ones even higher. There is no such thing right now as ANY Murcie, unless salvage title, for "a lot less" than 100k...whoever told you that was sadly mistaken or the car they were looking at was salvage. Just doesn't exist. Even when they dropped, they were right at 100k for a good car...but they're back up and holding firm with no sign of them dropping anytime soon.

I've got a black 02 available if interested.

I should have bought that 02 Murci from Flemings 2 years ago for 95k

A good early car, should not drop below 100K.

EarlY Murcis will drop another $10-15k at most over the next 5-10 years. Normal wear and mileage will cause a drop. Inflation (which will increase dramatically over that same time period IMO) will buffer the losses. Early Murcis are a great purchase.

I know you know pricing on these cars as well as anyone. I agree with your pricing range 100%. There have been 3 early Murcis that were non salvage and pretty solid cars that sold in the $90k+ range over the past 12 months. While they aren't the norm there are still crazy deals to be had (consignment cars owned by desperate owners). I watch prices on early Murcis like a hawk. If one of my business deals works out this year, that's what my wife wants us to get (for her) as a compliment to our Diablo so I've been watching them carefully. ;-)

    Was that the yellow one?

It would be worth the same or more right now for sure.
