I just got for the holiday's my new Lavazza Espresso Point Matinee. It makes the best Espresso from one of the best Italian Coffee Companies. If you have ever been at one of the track event's with Frank at CC, they have one set up in their pit area. Lavazza also makes another machine designed by Pininfarina. This is a heavyweight chrome and gold machine weighing 35lbs. The machine takes eight diffrent Cartridges from espresso, to tea, to soup, and American Coffee....Great to add to your garage... And you don't have to work at StarCrap Coffee to learn how to use it.

(BTW, I have nothing to do with the Company)

It does make a good cup- the only issue with that machine, as far as I know, is that they've got you over a barrel on the price of 'pods.'

Will....the same feeling I have about Ferrari OEM parts...haha

BTW, I have a few quotes for the Cart at about $0.40 / per cup.

Looks great Adam... Ive heard they require a complete teardown every 300 cups or so, so budget accordingly.

I believe WWOC has the same unit in their shop.

Greg....they only require that you clean the water tank out once a month, and clean the cart disposal tray as needed. If it was made by Ferrari, I would expect a rebuild every 300 cups or just sitting there for 1 year.

If it was made by Ferrari you would have to put the machine up on a rack, so you could remove the brewing mechanism out the bottom of the machine, just to clean it. :0

I got a nice one too. Jura. The machine actually grinds the espresso beans (I use ILLY) right before brewing for maximum freshness. It can make a perfect cappucino in seconds with the touch of a button, without moving the cup. The machine also tells you when it needs rinsing, cleaning etc. The finished product is like a work of abstract art. I wish I had a picture of it.

I have one in my office, it works great. I know where you can get them slightly used for about half the price. If anyone is interested pm me.

    Wow

I am surprised to see so many ferrari owners drinking sub par espresso (no offense)

But I thought you guys would be drinking real espresso made with fresh roasted beans (illy and lavazza is not fresh) made with a proper espresso burr grinder (like a mazzer) and with a real espresso machine like a e61 (ecm, quickmill, expobar) or at least a rancilio silvia.

I think you guys are really missing out what a proper espresso should taste like.

Real Espresso with a machine? Nope.
Take it to the stove top with a Milano/Napolitana/espresso pot/Moka pots for a real cup of espresso

    anything else is just convenience.

no offense clyde but the moka pot does not make real espresso either, just really strong coffee, that thing will barely make Crema

If you are not pulling LIQUID AMBER like this picture you are more than likely not drinking espresso

So let's get a run together so you can show us what we've been mistaking for Espresso? :)

BTW: You need to fill in your profile.
