I'm sure one of us here on fchat could buy the batteries for you and ship them to you. Great pics by the way. I hope to learn concrete reinforcement pretty soon here. I am adding on to my house myself.

The battery tender problem was solved with myusa.com. Just amazing that Deltran makes products aimed at international market without selling outside of the US. Good luck on your addition

I have been travelling a lot so have not been taking many photos. All of the builder's works are finished - cement, walls, footings, etc. Getting wiring and metal works done now. Wiring is no small task as the lifts, turntable, exhaust fans etc are all being done to industrial standard and will fully comply with rather strict codes. I intend to keep this place for quite a while and want zero problems with the authorities. Also some painting. One long wall will be red and the floor will be bright green. Colour scheme is Italian flag with industrial feel (silver painted steel, etc). One room at the back is a 400sq ft storage room with 13' high shelves for tires, exhausts, etc. Other room is for PS3 with surround sound. Aiming to have everything finished by the end of the month. The driveway took computer simulation to figure out all of the slopes for the F40 - long front overhang and rather low. My designer did a fantastic job. Also will have a remote controlled chain between 2 bollards to keep the area in front free of cars.

Wow it's looking great DM18 and I must say I'm really impressed at the attention to detail concerning the slope grade for the F40.

    Happy new year my friend,

I do but they are large size - far beyond the capacity of my scanner. Project about a month away form being finished and once I move in cars etc the photos will be much easier to follow. Space is a rectangle 170' deep by 27' (about 4,500sq ft total) wide in an industrial buiding. The rooms for storage and PS3 are at the back. The platform at the front is because the road is sloped and I wanted to find the right balance of smooth access, water protection, etc. That is why I am installing a large lift platform rather than having a ramp in the garage as it was before when it was used as a car workshop. Turntable is because space is too narrow to turn-around a car and I want to enter nose first and exit that way. Inside the garage I will have 3 lifts so I can store my F40, 288 GTO and Daytona with the weight off of the suspension and tyres. Garage will have capacity for 13 cars (6 in the 3 lifts) but i will only store 7 at max as I don't want to feel cramped.

OT but I must ask DM18 have you posted any pic's of your 288GTO on the forum? Other than that I think I can honestly say this whole forum is very anxious to see the finished garage with all your car's in their stable's!!

Good luck. Feel free to PM with any questons. I spent a ton of time laying mine out. I need to finish the floor and I am done.

Looks fantastic. You have a lot more space than me and a hangar design must be the best with a big door that you can open up. My space is like a bowling alley in comparison! Hong Kong Island is space constrained so I have to do the best that I can with what is available. Challenges but fun. My layout concerns were very specific to the space, local codes, etc so I had to work my way through all of that. Happy that you posted and will contact you with questions as they arise. For this brief moment in time I am under control

Thank's DM18 for the pic's yet I have once again ruined a keyboard from drooling over pics' LOL, I will never forget my first encounter with a 288GTO. It was '84 or early '85 and I was driving my '74 VW Bug when I heard a sound, a musical, a symphony of mechanical splendor. I look to my left and next to me is a red 288GTO driven by an older gentleman with his very hot wife, aka MILF, and I followed him for about 5 mile's because I did not want the experience or the beautiful music to end.

Sorry for rambling on I tend to digress when the the 'Red Mist' consume's me.

For that the 288 GTO is fantastic. I think mine sounds even better with megaphonos and it shoots flames! Good thing you weren't following me or you might have been barbecued

PFFTTT! You know, every time you mention that, I go off you a little bit more! :D

You have three of my favourite Ferrari's, the 288, 40 and 348 GTC (you don't have a 250 GTO hidden away somewhere as well do you?).

On the 348 note, as of last weekend I am now back in the land of Ferrari ... bought a lovely LHD Berlinetta in red over black - just what I was looking for :)

On the painted walls front, wow, you are a brave man going for red wall with green floor. Will that not make it very dark? Personally, I would go for the floor in gloss white with the green at the end wall 90 degrees to the red. Just my thoughts ... may be an idea for a bit of photoshopping to give you an idea, unless the deed is done.

Either way, dark or not, it is going to look stunning and I can't wait to see the finished article.

Congrats on your purchase - 348 is such a fun car and happy to hear that you found just what you are looking for. No 250 GTO I am afraid, it is far out of my league. I am sticking with the red wall but the floor is now going to be sealed raw concrete. I want a very industrial look. The steel is all silver and the lift and turntable will be aluminium plate. The lighting is fantastic so there is nothing to worry about being too dark

Make sure you get a Logitech G25 to go along with GT5! I was playing the Japanese prologue demo the other day, and it's just insane how accurately the game depict those cars. The Logitech set is crazy realistic. I can feel the force feedback fight me, as cars understeer through turns. You need to pick up a set!

If I ever visit Hong Kong again, I'll be sure to brush up on my Cantonese before stepping foot into your amazing garage... that's if you let me! :)
