anybody done the research on these things? oregon scientific seems to own the market.

i need a unit that is wireless and can do a rainfall gauage. looking for something high-end that i can get 4-6 (wireless) transmitters for (a couple temps, pressure, rainfall, wind, etc.).

the oregon units seem to be a bit constrained. does anybody else make these things?

    any info appreciated.

    tia,
    doody.

    Doody,

I am sure you have heard of, or viewed the Weather Channel on television. They also have an on-line store, http://www.w3.weather.com/ , which has an extensive selection of weather stations and associated instrumentation. Their professional version is quite nice, but rather costly. Go check it out.

We've been really pleased with the flexibility and features of the Davis Instruments Vantage Pro wireless weather station. Reading their product specs, it looks like they might have what you're asking for.

Davis also offers a model that gives a UV/solar Index. If you later decide on some home/commercial automation, there is a Crestron software module already available for it. Crestron is a well known automation company.

    Thank you very much
