Steve, i just sent you a pm let me know if you got it.
as Amir said to me about buying a CS [after 3 GT2's, Gt3's etc]: "you won't regret it". not only won't you regret it, i pride myself on flipping into a new car every 4-5 months, and i can't even think of something i'd rather drive than a CS. search for some of our threads here on Gt2 vs CS!!! you have NO idea how much you're gonna like your car.
I may, just may, have access to a Stradale that was delivered maybe 3 months ago. It is a black/black car, no stripe on it. Interior is in leather, not alcantara. It has about 600 miles on it. If you may be interested, let me know and I will talk to the owner.
and , of course, I hope I don't get it towed away and thrown in jail the 1st wk either! I was ready for a change to something more visceral, more raw, so if this doesn't do that, I don't know what will!
You will not regret your decision Steve. I just replaced my 575 with a Argento CS and its the most amazing automobile I have ever driven. Now I don't know what to do with my spider.
Boy, talk about an oxymoron, a "stealthy" Ferrari! Let's hope nobody notices me tooling down the street, esp the boys in blue! Think I'm going to mildly tint the windows too, to assist in my own personal stealthiness!
Just picked her up friday...........put 200 miles in 1.5 days of driving. Can't wait to get home from work to drive her again.
I know that probably sounds blasphemous to most of you, and ya, you do pay big bucks for that "big yellow badge", but I was just wondering if "debadging it" in that way would be such a horrible thing when trying to go as unnoticed as possible?
I wouldn't dream of doing it if it's not just an ordinary vinyl sticker. Do all Ferraris have this badge, and what does it stand for?
OK, now you're scaring me...just kidding. The Scudera Shield is a classic Ferrari symbol and all CS come with them in the fenders. They are NOT vinyl...they are hand painted and I would imagine aluminum (not sure what metal they are made of actually). As for other Ferraris, it is an option but not all Ferraris come with them. A good number of F-chatters do place aftermarket shields on their cars though in order to get the look that you will have with your CS. Youi however have the REAL THING!
It is an option for all Ferraris except for the limited production cars such as the CS and Enzo. As I understand it the Scuderia Shield signifys Ferraris racing heritage and history.........thus it is on all their race cars and as mentioned on their "special" production cars.
Funny thing was that was my first choice in a CS..........however, there are now 6 CSs in my area and all are either scuderia red or rossa corsa/with or without stripe. Against that backdrop, mine sticks out like a sore thumb.
Steve, where in Indiana are you I might be bringing my car down to bloomington early spring next year, where do you plan to get you car serviced etc?
I'm up in Ft Wayne, and I was thinking of using MAG for my servicing, since it's the closest to me. Can you or anyone think of a closer, or better svc dept?
Oh boy...looks like someone is going through CS withdrawl! ;-) How are things my friend? When are you coming back into town?
Congrats, Steve. Sorry I missed your phone calls. As others have already mentioned, you won't regret it. While not as fast as your Turbo, the CS is a much more thrilling/exciting ride. Enjoy! Getting two Stradales is always an option too. Image Unavailable, Please Login
