Send Coledoggy a PM. He has a condo in Destin and they are down there every other weekend or so. He has been known to make the trip in a Ferrari from time to time!
I forgot to mention that this is a good time of year to come down. The majority of the tourists have gone home and the temps are lower so you won't be sweltering. We had a hot summer. The one variable you can't plan for is rain. The forecasters here get it wrong about 85% of the time.
