Dan, I'm always trying new stuff. I've only used Imperial Hand Glaze a couple of times before switching over to Omega glaze and then #7. I found I like the results from #7 best on my own car and stuck with it. Dave, more reflection shots please! Especially since the cloud layer disappeared that day and hopefully this afternoon Sunny
Sunny: do you know the grade of abrasive in #7? Also, what are you using for the thicker scratch/swirl lines? --Dan
Sunny--- I spent a good part of Father's day trying to replicate your work on Dave's car and used your suggested products....Man, my 360 has never shined brighter and look wetter (not quite to Dave's car standard yet..).....Thanks, guy. That's good stuff. Tom
Dan, if #83 which is a number 5 can't take a scratch out with a Porter Cable DAP on setting 5 or 6, then thats a deep one best left to sand out. Surface scratches that just graze the paint and not through into the base coat is what they can permanently remove. Those require sanding and a rotary, something I will learn one day. My goal was to remove the faint hairline scratches under intense light. That $300 investment into the DAP with compounds and a little bit of experience with it I could never repeat doing by hand. Hand compounding is a *****! Tom, keep sticking with it and before you know it, you'll be faster at it and the car will continue improving. Thats the hook, you see. The challenge and the pride that comes with the effort! Sunny
